Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RT) Pediatric (PEDS) position located in Michigan. This role involves independently providing respiratory care, administering medications, responding to emergency situations, and performing therapeutic and diagnostic procedures related to the cardio-pulmonary system. The position requires collaboration with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care in a hospital setting.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: 2 years of respiratory therapy (RRT) experience, active RRT certification through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC), active Michigan/MI license, current skills checklist pertinent to respiratory therapy, active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, and previous travel work experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with prior travel work experience.
• Additional Information: The role involves performing respiratory care evaluations, delivering aerosol medications, responding immediately to Rapid Response or arrest situations, maintaining artificial airways, and managing oxygen therapy according to protocol. Responsibilities include emergency response, medication administration, and setting up oxygen systems. Submission requires documentation of supervisory references, certifications, and active state license.
