Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in a hospital setting located in the area. This role involves providing advanced respiratory care for pediatric and adult patients, administering a variety of therapies and diagnostic tests, and collaborating closely with medical staff to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. The position requires a high level of technical skill and the ability to work independently during night shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, approximately 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certification as a Respiratory Care Practitioner issued by the State of California, valid current license, and eligibility for registration with the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Must hold required certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP. At least 0 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in acute care.

• Additional Information: Responsibilities include administering invasive and non-invasive respiratory therapies, performing diagnostic tests such as EKG, Pulmonary Function tests, and Echocardiograms, interpreting arterial blood gases, and managing ventilator support for pediatric and adult patients. The role requires proficiency with respiratory equipment, adherence to infection control protocols, and participation in training and supervision of new staff members. Candidates should demonstrate excellent clinical knowledge, patient care skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team during overnight hours.
