Job Summary
Nuclear Medicine Technologist, located in the community hospital setting, is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures utilizing radioactive materials. The role involves patient preparation, imaging, and ensuring safety protocols are followed to deliver accurate results for clinical diagnosis.
Job Details
- Position Description: 26-week assignment with a focus on nuclear medicine imaging, including procedures such as gastric emptying studies, HIDA scans, PET scans, and ventilation/perfusion scans.
- Required Qualifications: Certification as ARRT Nuclear Medicine Technologist (N), CNMT, or NMTCB; valid state license (compact license required); minimum of 2 years of experience; experience with Epic charting system; experience in community hospital settings; availability to work dayshift, 8 hours per day, with at least 40 hours per week.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Siemens imaging equipment, limited patient isolation precautions, and handling radioactive materials.
- Responsibilities: Perform imaging procedures, operate imaging and radiation safety equipment, assist in patient positioning, maintain documentation, and adhere to clinical protocols and safety standards.
- Schedule: Shift Time is Days, Shift Hours are 8, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must respond to pre-submittal questions regarding prior work at a community hospital facility and provide two references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
