Description

Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in a pediatric acute care setting. This position involves providing respiratory therapy services within a Level 1 trauma and pediatric critical care environment. The role requires specialized experience in NICU and/or PICU settings, with the ability to manage neonatal and pediatric patients.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 09/21/2026 and ending 12/21/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications including BLS, NRP, PALS; valid Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license; 0+ years of experience; NICU and/or PICU experience required; previous experience with pediatric critical care; experience with aerosol setup, high flow nasal cannula, ventilators, and airway management; competency in charting medications and patient assessments related to respiratory therapy
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a hospital with a pediatric ICU or neonatal ICU setting
  • Float: Float rotation may be required within scope to meet facility needs
  • Additional Information: The role requires working in a hospital designated as a children's acute care hospital with moderate to high patient census, supporting neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients. Candidates must have valid licenses matching regional requirements, and local candidates within 75 miles are not accepted. All certifications must be current and submitted per policy, with ACLS required for certain hospital locations. Commitment to compliance deadlines and protocol adherence is essential.
