Job Details

• Position Description:
  The Pediatric Emergency Department has 15 beds and an on-site respiratory team. The respiratory therapist will be responsible for managing pediatric respiratory conditions, including noninvasive and invasive ventilation, bronchiolitic scoring, and respiratory arrest protocols, using advanced respiratory equipment and electronic medical record systems.

• Required Qualifications:
  Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential, graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy program, Texas state license, at least 1 year of experience in pediatric respiratory care, and ability to work night shifts for 12 hours with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

• Preferred Qualifications:
  Experience with pediatric critical care and familiarity with respiratory equipment in emergency settings is preferred.

• Schedule:
  Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.

• Additional Information:
  The role involves working on the 3rd floor of a facility equipped with respiratory technology suited for pediatric critical care. The unit values experienced staff and offers opportunities to operate with new equipment and technology. On-call requirements are not mandated, and floating to other units may be necessary.
