Description
Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist (OT) - Inpatient in a small town setting. This role involves providing therapy services across various acute inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing, and long-term care settings, with flexibility to float between areas. The position emphasizes adaptability in working with diverse patient populations and diagnoses, including pediatric cases. The facility values team players who are open to serving different departments as needed, with a focus on patient-centered care.
Job Details:
- Location: Small town with access to outdoor activities and natural attractions, approximately one hour from a neighboring facility and twenty minutes from an outpatient clinic.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, with eight-hour shifts and staggered start times between 7:30 and 9:00 AM.
- Certifications Required: BLS Certification.
- Minimum Experience: 1 year of relevant clinical experience.
- Shift Hours: 8 hours per shift.
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours.
- Start Date: 09/07/2026.
- End Date: 12/07/2026.
- Additional Notes: The role includes a department-specific orientation of 1-2 shifts with a preceptor. The team is traveler-friendly, and the organization encourages full integration of travelers into staff activities and gatherings. The community has a rich outdoor environment, including lakes and outdoor recreation, and features a diverse population with approximately 30% Spanish-speaking residents. The organization is contracted with nearby facilities and outpatient clinics, with rare coverage needs outside regular assignments.
- Special Requirements: Must be flexible, adaptable to various clinical settings and patient diagnoses, and capable of working with diverse and sometimes pediatric populations. Candidates should be able to manage communication effectively and demonstrate a willingness to serve in multiple roles as needed.
