Description
Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer Echo The organization is seeking an experienced cardiac sonographer to perform comprehensive echocardiographic studies, including adult transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiography procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in cardiac hemodynamics, PISA quantification, strain imaging, bubble studies, and pediatric indications, with the ability to document findings accurately and efficiently. This role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality imaging and patient care across diverse settings within the organization.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00am-5:00pm, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: - Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS). - Associates degree or graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited sonography program. - Proven ability to perform adult transthoracic echocardiography (TTE), inpatient and outpatient echocardiography, and emergency echocardiography. - Knowledge of cardiac pathophysiology, diagnostic procedures, and patient care procedures. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in cardiac sonography, including transesophageal and stress echocardiography. - Experience with Definity, Optison, bubble studies, and outreach services. - Ability to scan a full echo and produce reports within 75 minutes.
- Preferred Qualifications: - One (1) year of cardiac experience preferred; experience with pediatric echocardiography (indications such as murmurs, bicuspid aortic valve) for patients 5 years and older. - Experience with outreach services and stress echocardiography helpful. - Registry eligibility or current certification in echocardiography.
- Additional Information: - This position requires flexibility to cover varying shifts, including outreach, weekends, evenings, holidays, and on-call within a 30-minute response time. - Must demonstrate adaptability, quick learning, and proficiency in imaging techniques. - Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, with good visual and hearing acuity. - Physical flexibility to perform walking, standing, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
