Description
Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) position in a healthcare facility located in Washington state. This role involves providing outpatient occupational therapy services to diverse patient populations, including assessment, treatment, and patient education. There is a special focus on hand therapy and splinting, with opportunities to develop a robust elbow, wrist, and hand program under mentorship from an experienced provider.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association or equivalent, licensure eligibility or active license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Washington, one year of outpatient care experience preferred, hand therapy and splinting experience preferred, ability to evaluate and care for patients across all age groups (school age to geriatrics)
- Preferred Qualifications: Advanced training or degree in occupational therapy
- Additional Information: The position offers up to 24 hours of call-off availability at no cost. The role requires physical activity including lifting up to 50 pounds, as well as manual dexterity and visual acuity for patient assessments and documentation. Good communication skills are essential for collaboration with the healthcare team and patient education. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
