Description

Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RT) Pediatric (PEDS) - Nights, with coverage in adult and neonatal critical care units. This role involves providing direct respiratory care treatments and supporting patients with respiratory illnesses. The position requires a valid medical license, with preferred certifications including Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and Basic Life Support (BLS) via the American Heart Association (AHA). Experience working in critical care environments and a completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program are necessary.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., 36 hours per week, every other weekend
  • Required Qualifications: Valid medical license, RRT certification, CPR via AHA, 2 years of experience including critical care experience, completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, and experience in ventilator management, arterial blood gases, CPAP/BIPAP, oxygen therapy, CPT, aerosolized medications, and CPR/code team.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with adult and neonatal critical care units.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must have previous employment experience with any Johns Hopkins facilities, verified through work history, and must have been gone for at least one full year if previously employed as staff, PRN, or travel. Responsibilities include respiratory therapy in various critical care units, general respiratory care, and computerized documentation.
