This position involves providing respiratory therapy services to pediatric patients within an acute care setting. Job Details

• Position Description: Responsible for delivering respiratory care to pediatric patients, including procedures such as airway management, mechanical ventilation weaning, and airway suctioning, within an acute care hospital environment.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist, with at least 1 year working with pediatric populations. Valid state license (compact license accepted) required.
• Location Requirements: No specific location requirements beyond the 50-mile local radius.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per day, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Qualifications: Experience in adult critical care, aerosol setup, airway management, and familiarity with electronic charting systems, notably Epic. Experience with subacute units, tracheostomy, and gastric tubes preferred.
• Responsibilities: Perform and document respiratory therapy procedures, monitor and evaluate patient response, ensure proper operation of respiratory equipment, collaborate with healthcare teams, and provide patient education.
• Submission Requirements: Applicants must include responses to questions regarding previous work at a Providence facility and provide two references covering at least one year within the last three years prior to start.
