Description
Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer General (ULTRA GEN) in a short-term acute care facility. This position involves performing a variety of general ultrasound procedures, including obstetric, vascular, abdominal, and pediatric exams across diverse patient age groups. The role requires flexibility to cover different schedules and support various units as needed.
Job Details:
- Experience and Qualifications: Valid state license with a minimum of 0 years of experience required. Certifications including RDMS OB and RDMS AB are preferred.
- Schedule: Shifts are 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The assignment runs from 09/28/2026 to 12/28/2026, with a typical schedule of three 12-hour shifts weekly.
- On-Call & Weekend Requirements: On-call is not required. Weekend coverage (Friday to Sunday) is mandatory, with the possibility of shift changes within the specified weekend days.
- Patient Care and Procedures: Support a variety of general ultrasound exams, including OB, vascular, abdominal, breast, and pediatric assessments. Support ER, outpatient, and inpatient units, including complex vascular cases and biopsies.
- Additional Information: The unit is staffed 24/7 with four rooms equipped with Philips and GE ultrasound machines. The role may require float between units and support for high-volume breast work, biopsies, and vascular procedures.
- Compliance & Documentation: Must have at least 1 year of ultrasound experience, with current certifications valid at the time of assignment.
- Travel & Scheduling: The candidate must be able to work the full duration of the assignment, with commitments to specific holidays as required. All scheduling requests, including time off, should be communicated upfront.
