Description

Job Summary:
Vascular Sonographer in a clinical setting. This role involves demonstrating competence in delivering pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care, including patient assessment and emergency cardiac care (cardiopulmonary resuscitation is required). The position also requires assisting with post-procedure transport, generating ultrasound images of the heart and vascular structures, monitoring and recording patient information, and maintaining report storage and data systems. The ultrasound procedures will be performed with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in a busy clinical environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: - Associates Degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field OR completion of a twelve (12) month ultrasound program. - BLS certification. - Certification as one of the following: RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) through ARDMS, or RCS, ACS, or RCCS certified through CCI. - 1+ years of echocardiogram experience; vascular sonography experience is a plus.
  • Preferred Qualifications: None specified
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The professional will be responsible for generating ultrasound images, maintaining equipment calibration and quality assurance, troubleshooting equipment issues, potentially training staff, monitoring and recording patient data, preparing procedure rooms, and ensuring the timely completion of procedures.
