Description
Job Summary:
Radiology - General X-Ray Technician position located within a healthcare facility. This role involves providing imaging services such as general radiography, fluoroscopy, and portable imaging in various departments including emergency, inpatient, orthopedic, and spine in the operating room. The position requires coverage for a fast-paced environment with diverse imaging needs, including trauma cases and likely participation in a 24/7 shift schedule.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 10-hour evening shifts from 11:30 AM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, with on-call responsibilities.
- Required Qualifications: Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R); BLS (AHA); minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; active radiology license or certification not required prior to start.
- Preferred Qualifications: Ability to cover OR procedures with C-Arms; experience working with GE, Phillips, Siemens equipment; proficiency with EMR and PACS systems including Epic, Fuji PACS, Carestream, Shimadzu ports, GE/Fuji General Radiology rooms.
- Additional Information:
- Regional coverage includes zones within a 60-mile radius; some float within Zone 3 as needed.
- Department has 3 general radiology rooms, 2 fluoroscopy rooms, 6 portables, and 9 C-Arms.
- Imaging volume averages 20-30 scans or studies per day.
- No IV starts required.
- Department utilizes registered radiology assistants (PAs).
- On-site radiologist available during daytime; night coverage is remote.
- Hospital provides scrubs; orientation includes equipment overview and Epic setup.
- Cancellation policies allow up to 4 shift cancellations per 13-week assignment.
- Response time for on-call duties varies, generally within 30 minutes.
