Description
Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer General (Pediatric Sonography) in a healthcare facility. This position requires a minimum of one year of experience in pediatric sonography, with specific expertise in ECMO procedures, bedside ECMO weans, and catheter placement. The candidate should have an extensive understanding of congenital and atypical heart diseases, capable of performing comprehensive echocardiographic studies across fetal, pediatric, and adult patient populations.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, from 08/31/2026 to 02/27/2027.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of one year of pediatric sonography experience; knowledge of ECMO procedures including bedside weans and catheter procedures; strong understanding of congenital and unusual non-congenital heart diseases; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification; Registry in Pediatric Echocardiography preferred; fetal echocardiography encouraged; adult echocardiography experience a plus; proficiency with equipment including Phillips scanners; skilled in recognizing and triaging emergent situations; capable of providing written communication to cardiologists; maintenance of ultrasound equipment; logging and billing procedures.
- Preferred Qualifications: Registry in Pediatric Echocardiography; fetal echocardiography experience; adult echocardiography experience.
- Equipment: Phillips floor ultrasound scanners, EMR/Epic, PACS Fuji CV Synapse.
- On-call: None.
- Floating: None.
- Additional Information: Performs echocardiographic studies in fetal congenital heart disease (22+ weeks), pediatric cardiac disease, as well as adult congenital conditions. Covers NICU, PICU, and Cardiac ICU environments. Recognizes and manages emergent situations, communicates findings to cardiologists, maintains equipment, and ensures accurate documentation of procedures.
