Description

Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer General in a pediatric setting, specializing in pediatric echocardiography, with a focus on ECMO procedures and congenital heart disease. The role involves performing a broad range of echocardiographic studies across fetal, pediatric, and adult patients, including NICU, PICU, and Cardiac ICU coverage. Responsibilities include recognizing emergent situations, communicating with cardiologists, maintaining equipment, and logging procedures. The position is scheduled for daytime shifts in a healthcare facility environment.

Job Details:

  • Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in pediatric sonography. Knowledge and experience with ECMO procedures, including bedside ECMO weans and catheter placement. BLS and ARDMS certifications required. Registry in Pediatric Echocardiography preferred; fetal echocardiography encouraged; adult echocardiography experience a plus.
  • Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with fetal, pediatric, and adult congenital echocardiography. Familiarity with electronic medical record systems such as Epic and PACS Fuji CV Synapse.
  • Additional Information: The position covers echocardiographic procedures for fetal congenital heart disease (22+ weeks), pediatric heart disease, and adult congenital cases. The role includes the recognition and triage of emergent situations, providing written communication to cardiologists, equipment maintenance, and procedures logging and billing.
