Ultrasonographer General in the Healthcare Industry, located in an unspecified location. Job Details

  • Schedule: Rotating shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers, Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) Breast Specialty from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, and a minimum of 1 year of experience in ultrasound.
  • Demonstrates competency in all clinical and technical functions related to diagnostic medical sonography, with an emphasis on patient identification, image evaluation, patient education, and infection control.
  • Performs ultrasound examinations adhering to department protocols, reviews images for quality and accuracy, and ensures proper documentation of patient information and procedures.
  • Shows ability to operate ultrasound equipment, assess patient needs quickly, and communicate effectively in emergency situations.
  • Maintains sterile techniques and follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, and reporting equipment failures.
  • Assists and instructs students and other radiology professionals in exam procedures, positioning, and equipment use.
  • Demonstrates anatomical knowledge and expertise in vascular procedures and imaging techniques.
  • Works independently and collaboratively, prioritizing tasks effectively in a clinical setting.
