Job Summary
Inpatient Physical Therapist (PT IP) Location: unspecified. This position involves providing outpatient and inpatient rehabilitative care within an acute care setting. The role includes evaluating adult patients, particularly those with trauma, neuro, oncology, and surgical conditions, in a Level III trauma center.
Job Details
- Certifications: BLS Certification
- Education Requirements and Degree Requirements: BSN not required; minimum of 2 years of experience in physical therapy
- Location Requirements: Candidate must have submitted a license to submit
- Years of Experience: 0.0 (minimum experience requirement: 0 years)
- Schedule: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with alternating weekends; a compensatory day is provided during the week for any weekend days worked
- Position Status: Inpatient acute care
- Shift Hours: 8 hours
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours
- Start Date: 09/08/2026
- End Date: 12/01/2026
- Additional Job Details:
- Anticipated start date ASAP
- Expectation is 1 completed evaluation per hour, primarily performing evaluations at the site
- For daily treatments, goal is 10 completed treatments in an 8-hour shift
- Candidates able to accept new graduates with less than 6 months experience, provided they have strong adult acute clinical experience including trauma and critical care
- Candidates may be asked to precept as needed by the unit
- No call requirement
- Primary coverage area is acute care for Bryan hospital, with minimal coverage at College Station acute care hospital
- Orientation to hospital, electronic medical records system (MEDITECH), and hospital procedures for 3-5 days depending on experience level
- Patient population: Level III trauma, telemetry, ortho, surgical, neuro, oncology, and general medical, primarily adults and older teens
