Description

Job Summary
Maternal-Fetal Medicine Sonographer in fetal medicine located in an independent fetal imaging center, this role involves conducting diagnostic ultrasound studies across all trimesters including first trimester dating and early anatomic assessments, detailed second and third trimester evaluations, fetal echocardiography, growth assessments, Doppler studies, and transvaginal ultrasounds. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with perinatologists in a high-quality environment to refine ultrasound skills and obtain additional certifications if needed.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Conducts diagnostic ultrasound studies in accordance with American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) standards, supporting maternal and fetal health through accurate imaging and documentation.
  • Credentials: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) registry, HS diploma/GED required.
  • Experience and Education: Associates Degree in Ultrasound Technology or graduate of an accredited Sonography Program required; two (2) years ultrasound experience preferred; Nuchal Translucency Certification preferred; Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Checks equipment status, participates in quality assurance/quality control, evaluates patient history and symptoms, communicates procedures clearly, assists physicians with additional imaging or biopsy procedures, and maintains competency in maternal-fetal ultrasound techniques.
  • Schedule: Dayshift, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, Friday 4-hour shift; minimum 40 hours per week.
  • Submission requirements: Must hold a license to submit, and a minimum of 2 years of ultrasound experience is required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in ultrasound, Nuchal Translucency Certification, and a Bachelors degree.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional notes: The role involves performing comprehensive obstetric ultrasounds, advanced fetal imaging, and adhering to established protocols for diagnostic accuracy and patient safety.
