Job Summary
Gainesville, FL Ultrasonographer (Radiology Ultrasound) This position involves performing a variety of ultrasound examinations independently and collaboratively within a high-acuity academic medical center. The role includes conducting portable ultrasound exams throughout the facility, assisting patients safely, and reviewing studies directly with radiologists.

Job Details

  • Certifications, Education and Experience: One of the following: ARDMS (ABD, OB/GYN, or PEDS) or ARRT (S). Vascular Registry required. BLS certification required at submission. No work history gaps greater than 30 days without explanation; minimum of one professional reference dated within the last 12 months.
  • Required Skills and Experience: At least 2 years of sonographer experience, strong vascular and portable ultrasound experience, skill in adult general ultrasound, pediatric ultrasound including neonatal head ultrasounds, abdominal Doppler studies, liver and kidney transplant imaging. Equipment experience with Philips, Canon (Toshiba), and GE ultrasound units.
  • Schedule: 10-Hour Days shift, Monday through Thursday, 36 hours per week, from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
  • Additional Job Responsibilities: Perform ultrasound examinations both independently and as part of a team, review studies with radiologists, and assist patients on and off examination tables.
  • Other Requirements: Florida license must be active at time of submission. Portable ultrasound experience is required. The role includes coverage in adult and pediatric emergency departments.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
