Job Summary
Radiation Therapist, RTT Location: Not Specified. This role involves delivering ionizing radiation treatments to patients in accordance with the Radiation Oncologists' prescriptions and simulation instructions. The position requires providing safe, effective radiotherapy procedures, including patient assessment, treatment delivery, and documentation, to support patient care and treatment outcomes.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of an approved Radiation Therapy Program; registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy; current license as required by the State of New Jersey; 1-2 years of experience in Radiation Therapy.
• Preferred Qualifications: 3-5 years of Radiation Therapy experience.
• Additional Job Functions:
  • Perform treatment simulations and generate setup documentation.
  • Assess diagnostic studies for treatment planning.
  • Construct immobilization devices, apply shielding, and prepare treatment accessories.
  • Monitor equipment operation, conduct quality assurance procedures, and report malfunctions.
  • Educate and inform patients about procedures, ensuring informed consent.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized treatment environment.
  • Assist in teaching Radiation Therapy to students during clinical rotations.
  • Lift and reposition patients, standing at least 4 hours daily.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse patient populations, considering their individual needs.
