Job Summary
Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist in the specialty of CCL TECH is available in an outpatient setting. The role involves assisting invasive cardiologists, interventional radiologists, and vascular surgeons in performing interventional procedures, managing imaging equipment, and participating in patient care activities during diagnostic and interventional catheterization procedures.

Job Details

• Position Description: Assists the invasive cardiologist, interventional radiologist, and/or vascular surgeon in the performance of interventional procedures. Shares responsibility in the acquisition and processing of state-of-the-art imaging and efficient operation of equipment in the interventional labs. Participates in hemodynamic monitoring, scrubbing, and circulating duties. Maintains adequate levels of inventory in assigned procedure areas and restocks inventories as needed. Operates appropriate medical equipment and interacts professionally with customers and staff.
• Responsibilities: Prepare and position patients for interventional procedures; monitor and document all essential hemodynamic measurements throughout diagnostic and interventional catheterization procedures; utilize and troubleshoot all adjunct diagnostic and interventional modalities necessary to complete procedures; provide technical skills necessary to assist the physician in performing interventional procedures; ensure a safe environment for patients including methods to reduce radiation exposure; monitor and document all X-ray exposure doses; ensure radiation protection protocols are followed by all staff members and patients; inventory procedure rooms and restock as needed; participate in cross-training in all aspects of the Cardiac Catheterization and Interventional Radiology Lab; maintain all CEUs required for certification and licensure; effectively complete and send electronic data to its appropriate destination; educate patients and families regarding procedures and treatments.
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (American Heart Association), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), Radiology Tech License or ARRT Certification (with CT preferred), current CRT license, graduation from an accredited School of Radiology. No minimum years of experience required.
• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Maintain all CEUs required for licensure and certification. Ensure safety protocols are followed throughout procedures, including radiation safety measures. Assist in cross-training activities within the laboratory environment.
