Job Summary
Physical Therapist Inpatient (PT IP) This inpatient position is based at a healthcare facility providing direct patient care. The role involves performing comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and participating in discharge planning, within a standard daytime schedule.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure, BLS certification from the American Heart Association, Bachelors, Masters, or entry-level Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited college or university in the area of Physical Therapy. Experience requirement: 0 years.
• Schedule: Days, 8-hour shifts, minimum 40 hours per week.
• Develops and implements treatment plans considering diagnosis, age, and patient participation with measurable goals.
• Prepares documentation including initial evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other clinical notes.
• Participates in patient, family, and multidisciplinary team conferences, and provides education related to patient care and discharge planning.
• Supervises and coordinates physical therapy student programs, assists with departmental initiatives, and supports clinical department operations.
• Performs comprehensive patient assessments and adapts interventions to meet age-specific, developmental, and individual needs.
• Ensures adherence to departmental policies and participates in performance improvement activities.
• Fosters professional relationships within the healthcare team and with community resources.
• Performs other related duties as directed.
