Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in the Pediatric department at a healthcare facility. This position involves providing specialized respiratory care including ventilator management, nebulizer treatments, and bedside spirometry for patients of all ages. The role requires competency in utilizing respiratory equipment and effective communication with patients and team members.

Job Details

• Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program with Minnesota licensure; BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS, NRP certifications; minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, nights, with every other weekend and likely holidays, totaling at least 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Providing care for all age groups, managing ventilators, nebulizer treatments, EKGs, BIPAP/CPAP, and bedside spirometry. Working with equipment such as Drager vents, Respironics BIPAP/CPAP, MicroNes, Mortara EKG carts, computerized charting, and Pyxis systems.
• Additional Information: Staff will be required to work across multiple departments including ED, ICU, medical-surgical, pediatrics, obstetrics, and family care units. Orientation includes hospital-specific protocols, floor layouts, equipment, and policy review. Candidates must badge in/out at the facility, and prior employment with the organization must be at least 6 months prior to submission.
