Job Details

• Position Description: Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care, delivering intensive respiratory treatments and patient transport as medically prescribed, within the scope of professional license. Responsible for evaluating patients, recommending treatment plans, and explaining procedures to patients. Operates various ventilatory, oxygen, aerosol, and nebulizer devices to administer medications, humidification, ventilation, and oxygenation. Performs chest physiotherapy, suctioning, oximetry, capnography, and routine review of chest x-rays. Conducts 12-Lead EKG, basic arrhythmia recognition, and pulmonary function studies. Assists with procedures such as bronchoscopy, Perc Trachs, chest tube placements, and performs tracheostomy care including insertion and removal. Performs arterial puncture, manages mechanical ventilation, and monitors patient response. Follows policies related to laboratory testing and procedures. Performs CPR according to BLS and ACLS guidelines and operates ventilatory equipment. Records treatments, patient responses, and communicates effectively during shift handoffs. Maintains accurate respiratory therapy documentation and manages equipment maintenance and repairs.
