Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Peds for a healthcare organization location. This role involves providing comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric patients, including invasive and non-invasive ventilation, aerosol therapy, patient assessment, and education. The position requires a focus on delivering high-quality patient care within a busy clinical setting.

Job Details

• Position Description:
  Provides intensive respiratory therapy, evaluates patients, recommends treatment plans, explains procedures, and educates patients upon discharge. Operates various ventilatory and aerosol equipment, performs chest physiotherapy, suctioning, oximetry, capnography, and reviews chest x-rays. Conducts pulmonary function studies, assists with procedures, manages tracheostomy care, and performs arterial puncture. Follows policies on laboratory testing, performs CPR per BLS and ACLS guidelines, and handles endotracheal tube procedures. Maintains all equipment, records treatment data, communicates with physicians, and maintains accurate documentation. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Required Qualifications:
  Certifications in respiratory care, appropriate education and licensure, valid credentials for practice, willingness to work night shifts, and a minimum of one year of relevant experience.

• Schedule:
  Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.

• Additional Information:
  Familiarity with ventilatory equipment, airway management, and pediatric respiratory care protocols is preferred.
