Respiratory Therapist (Pediatric) in Richmond, VA This position involves providing respiratory care to pediatric patients within a busy emergency department setting. The role requires collaboration with healthcare teams to deliver quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Position Description: Responsible for delivering respiratory therapy services, including the use of oxygen, BIPAP/CPAP, ventilators, nebulizers, and blood gas analysis, to pediatric patients.
- Unit Information: Located at a facility with approximately 430 beds and a staff of 25, primarily focused on pediatric respiratory care.
- Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: Current Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential, current Virginia State License, and current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications. No minimum years of experience required, but ICU experience with procedures such as nebulizers, BIPAP/CPAP, ventilators, and arterial blood gases is expected.
- Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Responsibilities: Providing care in a fast-paced environment with responsibilities including patient treatment and collaboration with medical staff.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must demonstrate current and valid certifications and licenses to be considered.
