Description
Job Summary
MRI Technologist in the healthcare setting located at a general medical facility. This role involves providing quality imaging and patient care across two medical imaging modalities, primarily MRI and X-ray, in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The position supports a stroke-certified center and level 2 trauma designation.
Job Details
- Location: Healthcare facility environment.
- Schedule: Night shift, 4x10-hour shifts, Sundays through Wednesdays, from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification from at least two credentialing organizations such as the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT), American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (ARDMS), American Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT-VT), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT). Registration as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT-GC) through the Texas Medical Board. Valid BLS certification through the American Heart Association. Two years of experience in the specialty.
- Equipment used: GE scanners, Epic EMR system.
- Additional Information: Experience in a high-volume emergency room or inpatient setting is preferred. Candidates must be willing to complete fixed and portable X-ray exams in addition to CT. Training sessions include virtual and in-person classes scheduled at the main campus in Galveston.
