Description
Job Summary
Physical Therapist Outpatient (PT OP) in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized outpatient physical therapy services focused exclusively on pelvic health, including prenatal, postpartum, colorectal, gynecological oncology, pelvic pain, pelvic dysfunction, urinary and fecal incontinence, as well as general orthopedics related to lumbar, pelvis, hip, and knee. The position requires evaluation, development, and implementation of treatment plans to support patient recovery and community reintegration.
Job Details
- Position involves providing outpatient physical therapy with a focus on pelvic health.
- Complete evaluation and develop treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician guidance.
- Responsible for delegating and directing discipline-specific therapy services.
- Ensure functional treatment programs facilitate effective return to daily activities.
- Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and colleagues.
- Maintain documentation including goal setting, progress notes, and medical necessity letters in compliance with applicable guidelines.
- Complete a comprehensive evaluation of assigned patients using clinical reasoning.
- Provide care under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approval parameters.
- Participate in student training and mentorship as assigned, fostering a positive learning environment.
- Pursue ongoing professional development through continuing education and involvement in professional organizations.
- Follow state practice acts and maintain licensure in good standing.
- Demonstrate commitment to safety, including safe patient handling and infectious disease protocols.
- Start date: 09/07/2026; End date: 12/07/2026.
- Schedule: Days shifts, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
