Description
Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in the Pediatric unit. This position involves providing respiratory care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients across inpatient and outpatient settings. The role includes drawing arterial blood gases, performing EKGs, and assisting with intubations as needed.
Job Details:
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification via NBRC, ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), PALS (American Heart Association), and a minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, Minimum 36 hours per week. Shifts start at 6:30 AM with flexibility to fill scheduling holes.
- Responsibilities: Draw arterial blood gases, assist with intubations, and perform EKGs. Provide care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients, including those with STEMI, CVA, Covid, EKOS, arrest, IABP.
- Additional Details: Rapid response to call within 30 minutes, no floating to sister campuses, and work with various ventilator brands including Drager, LTV, and Avea. The department includes a hospitalist or intensivist available 24/7, with a two-day orientation provided.
