The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist position is located in a healthcare facility specializing in cardiovascular procedures. This role involves providing technical support for complex cardiac procedures, including device implants, electrophysiology (EP) ablations, and other lab cases. It is ideal for an experienced technical professional seeking to contribute to a dynamic clinical environment.
Job Details
- Position: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist (CCL TECH)
- Location: Healthcare facility with a focus on cardiovascular services
- Certification Requirements: Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) with Arkansas limited X-ray license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Education & Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist; no specific minimum years of experience otherwise required
- Schedule: Shift from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, four days per week (10-hour shifts)
- Responsibilities: Scrubbing and monitoring procedures such as device implants, electrophysiology (EP) ablations, Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion (LAAO) cases within the cath lab; understanding of EP lab and cardiology pacing and ablation; operating with Cerner EMR (currently) and Epic (upcoming) systems; adhering to hospital dress code of hospital-provided scrubs
- Additional Information: Four shifts of department-specific orientation are required; the department has the flexibility to cancel up to four shifts within the 13-week assignment; responding to call within 30 minutes; no floating outside the Cath Lab; no weekends for the EP lab but one weekend per month for cath lab; on-call and holiday requirements apply
