Respiratory Therapist Registered RT PEDS Location not specified. This position involves providing advanced respiratory care therapy, including ventilator management, intubation assistance, and patient education for pediatric patients. The role requires collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a hospital setting.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program; BLS American Heart Association; ACLS; PALS; current and valid Respiratory Care license and NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
  • Responsibilities include providing respiratory therapy under medical direction, performing ventilator setup and management, assisting with intubation, gathering patient information, developing rapport with patients and caregivers, and providing education tailored to patient needs.
  • Must have 1+ year of recent experience working as a licensed RRT, ICU experience, and previous ventilator experience. Willingness to float to adult ICU areas, intermediate care, and basic intermediate care floor is required.
