Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) Spokane Valley, WA. This role involves providing respiratory care and support to adult and geriatric patients within a Level 3 Trauma Center. The position requires critical care experience, proficiency with ventilators and respiratory equipment, and the ability to work collaboratively within a small community hospital setting.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support); 2 years of experience preferred; adaptable to first-time travelers with requisite skills.
- Schedule: Nights shift from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, every other weekend.
- Position involves working across all departments with specific area assignments per shift; no on-call responsibilities.
- Able to work in a small facility with multiple patient types including medical-surgical, critical care, emergency, COVID, mainly adults and geriatric but possibly pediatric or infant (with Bubble CPAP transfer if used over 2 hours).
- Support on the unit includes RT manager and team lead.
- Technology and equipment used: EPIC electronic medical record system, ventilators, Getinge Servo-u, and Pyxis medication dispensing system.
- Orientation includes one day of hospital-specific training plus 2-3 precepted shifts, with additional time as determined by management.
- Scrub color is optional; matching top and bottom preferred.
