Job Summary
Pharmacist Inpatient (PHARM IP) This role is based at a healthcare facility and involves providing comprehensive pharmaceutical services within an inpatient setting. The pharmacist ensures medication accuracy, compliance with regulations, and effective patient care through collaboration with healthcare professionals.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of California; Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from an accredited college; Current BLS Certification; Meets federal, state, and local laws governing retail pharmaceutical services; Maintains required continuing education hours annually; 0 years minimum experience.
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Specific responsibilities include preparing and dispensing medications, reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, instructing pharmacy personnel, providing medication counseling, maintaining pharmacy records, managing inventory, and collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize patient care.
- Additional duties involve ensuring quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and adherence to safety procedures.
- This position requires effective communication, organizational skills, and the ability to respond promptly to customer and team needs.
