Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) located in the healthcare provider organizations setting. This role involves performing diagnostic and therapeutic clinical procedures within the scope of respiratory care services across neonatal, pediatric, and adult patient populations. Responsibilities include working in accordance with physician orders, delivering specialized gases, initiating and maintaining pulmonary vasodilators, and participating in clinical rounds and emergency responses.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Nights, 8-hour shifts, minimum 40 hours per week, for a duration of 13 weeks.
  • Required Qualifications: Completion of a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program; licensure as a Respiratory Therapy License from the State of California; certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association; certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); zero to one year of experience including time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Level 3, Pediatric Trauma Level 1, or adult critical care as an RCP.
  • Additional Job Responsibilities: Assist with orientation and training of respiratory therapists and students; perform intra-hospital transports with mechanical ventilators; evaluate medical orders; respond to emergency department consults; interpret data to optimize patient outcomes; serve as a member of the code/rapid response team; provide patient and family education.
  • Certifications & Licensure: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, RCP license, and RRT registration.
  • Schedule: Nights, 8-hour shifts, minimum 40 hours per week.
