Job Summary
Pharmacist Inpatient Location unspecified. This position involves providing comprehensive pharmaceutical services within a healthcare facility, adhering to all relevant laws and policies. The pharmacist will ensure medication safety, proper dispensing, and clinical consultation to support optimal patient care.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Current State licensure, successful completion of all educational requirements mandated for licensure, BLS if required by State, EPIC experience, and a minimum of two years of recent hospital experience.
- Additional Job Responsibilities: Maintaining appropriate drug supply, ordering medications, participating in formulary development, preparing and accurately dispensing medications, documenting all transactions, ensuring control and accountability of controlled substances, and maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
- Certifications: BLS (if required by State).
- Clinical Skills: Knowledge of antimicrobial stewardship, interpretation of culture results, pharmacokinetic dosing management, and anticoagulation dosing management.
- Behavioral Characteristics: Excellence in workplace behaviors, active participation in quality assurance activities, fostering positive interdepartmental relationships, supporting accreditation standards, and mentoring staff.
