Description
Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) in a daytime shift location. This role involves providing specialized occupational therapy services to adult and geriatric patients in an inpatient setting. The position is scheduled to start on October 12, 2026, and conclude on April 12, 2027, offering an engaging opportunity for experienced professionals to contribute to patient care in a dynamic environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, CA state licensure in hand, 3 years of experience in inpatient occupational therapy, adult outpatient experience preferred, certification in Hand/Upper Extremity (AOTA - Hand/UE certification) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Skills: Adaptive Equipment, Assessment, Discharge Planning, Hand Clinic procedures, Evaluation, Functional splints, Hand Injury management, Home Exercise Program development, Manual Therapy, Orthotics training, Modalities including Ultrasound and TENS, Patient/Family Education, Plan of Care, Reassessments, Safety and injury prevention, Splinting, Tendon Repair, Upper Extremity Unit procedures.
- Additional Information: May float to other facilities such as Mission Bay, Mount Zion, or Bayfront. The role requires participation in interdisciplinary support, patient diagnoses including post-operative orthopedic aftercare, acute fractures, nerve injuries, and various hand and upper extremity conditions. Modules are non-billable but required pre-start and annually. Orientation is scheduled at 4:00 PM PST on the Monday before the start date.
