Job Summary
Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist in the specialty of Intra Cardiac, located in Long Beach. This position involves supporting specialized procedures related to radiological interventions, with a focus on vascular and endovascular procedures. The role requires a qualified professional to work in a fast-paced environment, performing a variety of advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Job Details

• Certification: ARRT (Registered), BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
• Education: Relevant certificate or degree in radiologic technology.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in interventional radiology or a related field.
• Shift Schedule: 4x10-hour days from 07:00 to 17:30, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Call Requirements: Call required 1-2 days per week and 1 weekend every 5 weeks.
• Responsibilities:
  • Interpretation of dysrhythmias
  • Laser-assisted procedures
  • Scrub and circulate procedures including adrenal angiography, angioplasty, aortography, chemoembolization, embolization, ERCP, liver biopsy, mesenteric angiogram, nephrostomy, paracentesis, pelvic angiography, stent placements, thoracentesis, Ureteral Stent Placement, uterine Arterial Embolization, and endovascular interventions.
  • Equipment set-up and maintaining sterile fields
  • Room circulation activities including use of Vascular Closure Systems (Perclose, StarClose).
• Additional Requirements:
  • EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system experience required.
  • Previous charge experience preferred.
  • Ability to work within patient ratios and adapt to float within the hospital based on census.
  • Must present CA license and Nursys verification (pulled within 2 weeks).
  • RTO (Request for Time Off) must be presented at time of submission.
  • Candidates will support pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
