Job Summary:
Physical Therapist Outpatient (PT OP) Location not specified. This position involves providing outpatient physical therapy services to patients with various medical conditions, including total joint replacements, stroke, deconditioning, pneumonia, and balance difficulties. The role includes working primarily in a skilled nursing facility with potential to float to an inpatient acute care hospital within the same parking lot.
Job Details:
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: CA PT license, BLS (AHA); minimum 2 years of experience.
- Schedule: 8-hour days, with two weekend shifts per month, and first to float to other units as needed.
- Responsibilities include working independently, performing transfers, and collaborating closely with the interdisciplinary team.
- Clinical experience in acute care or skilled nursing is preferred, with a focus on patients treated per day: 8-9.
- Unit PT.
- Unit Notes: No prescreen; managed interviews; two supervisor references requiredone within 12 months and one within 3 years of work.
- A copy of the driver's license is needed at submission to validate legal name.
- Candidates must not have been directly employed by related facility organizations within the past year, including full time, part-time, or PRN, unless employed through outside agencies.
- The position involves inpatient and outpatient care, with a focus on post-acute rehabilitative services.
- Must have skills to work independently, perform transfers, and communicate effectively.
- Clinical duties encompass compassionate patient care for diverse medical conditions including geriatrics, ortho, neuro, and chronic conditions.
- Charting system used: Cerner.
- Location: No facility or hospital name included; generic reference to "the organization" or "the healthcare provider" applies.
