Job Summary
MRI Technologist in a healthcare facility setting, responsible for performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures for both adult and pediatric patients. The role involves independent judgment to apply prescribed MRI scanning techniques in accordance with protocols established by radiologists, ensuring patient safety and accurate diagnostics.

Job Details

Position Description: Performs MRI procedures according to established protocols, managing procedures for both adult and pediatric patients, with minimal supervision. Responsible for patient preparation, screening for magnet safety, and ensuring proper operation of equipment. Utilizes Philips Ingenia 1.5 MRI scanner, Med Rad Spectris Solaris Injector, Omnicell, EPIC, and FUJI PACS systems.
Required Qualifications: ARRT certification as a Certified MRI Technologist, BLS (American Heart Association), 5-7 years of MRI experience, and licensure submittal approval required.
Schedule: Shift from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM; may work alone at times, with floating to other units/departments as needed. Works on weekends, including Saturday and Sunday, from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM, and Monday from 9:30 AM to 10:00 PM, for a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: The role includes working in an acute care setting with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:1 for nursing duties unrelated to this role. Mask wearing and proper dress code (black scrubs) are mandated. Candidates must demonstrate compliance with vaccination policies, including COVID-19 vaccination status or approved exemption.
