Description
Job Summary
Ultrasonographer (General) for a healthcare facility in an unspecified location. This position involves providing diagnostic ultrasound services, including abdominal, pelvic (gynecological and obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms. The role requires collaboration with radiologists and adherence to departmental protocols.
Job Details
- Certifications required: Ultrasound certification, BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Education and license requirements: Graduate of an accredited American Medical Association (AMA) school, registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and maintains a State License as a general radiographer or is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
- Experience: 3 or more years of ultrasound experience.
- Position type: Contract for 13 weeks, scheduled for evenings, Monday through Friday, from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, with call duties typically 1-2 times per week.
- Schedule: Evening shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Conducting abdominal, pelvic (gynecological & obstetrical), transvaginal, small parts (thyroid, breast, scrotum), and ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations.
- Submission requirements: Candidates must be able to start ASAP and be available for the duration of 13 weeks.
