Job Summary
Pathology Assistant (PA) Location: Not Specified. This role involves supporting anatomic pathology services within a healthcare facility by preparing samples for analysis, conducting postmortem examinations, and maintaining laboratory standards. The position requires meticulous specimen processing and adherence to safety and procedural protocols.

Job Details

Schedule: Day shifts; 7.5 hours per day, with a minimum of 37.5 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Pathologists Assistant issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED); Bachelors Degree; 0 years of experience in acute care grossing specimens and performing autopsies
Responsibilities include preparing gross tissue sections, performing human postmortem examinations, maintaining laboratory inventory and cleanliness, calibrating and troubleshooting medical equipment, documenting procedures, photographing specimens, accessioning and labeling specimens, analyzing data, maintaining safety protocols, and performing related duties as assigned
Additional Information: Experience in acute care grossing specimens and autopsies is required
