Job Summary

Nuclear Medicine Technologist NU C (Nuclear Medicine) 09/21/2026 to 12/21/2026. This position involves performing diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures to assist in diagnosis and treatment. The role requires providing patient care, preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, and ensuring quality imaging for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. The position supports the healthcare providers mission to deliver high-quality patient-focused care.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Provides health care services applying radionuclides to assist in diagnosis or treatment, including performing nuclear medicine procedures and related techniques producing images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. Maintains professionalism in performance of services and adheres to medical ethics. Ensures appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of procedures.
  • Essential Job Functions: Performs diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures including corroborating patient histories, preparing patients, selecting and operating radiation detection and imaging equipment, positioning patients, administering radiopharmaceuticals, evaluating image quality, verifying informed consent, practicing aseptic techniques, providing physical and emotional support, initiating basic life support when necessary, maintaining accurate records, managing equipment and supply inventory, instructing students or other healthcare professionals, participating in quality assessment, and ensuring compliance with policies and continuing education.
  • Required Qualifications: Associate or bachelors degree from a nuclear medicine accredited program. OBMI and ARRT registered nuclear medicine technologist. Current BLS certification. No experience required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: CRASE training (if the assignment extends beyond 6 months).
  • Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: The role involves working primarily indoors in healthcare environments, handling medical equipment, radiopharmaceuticals, and maintaining safety protocols. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent walking and standing, and responding to emergency situations.
