The position is responsible for ensuring safe and effective radiation therapy delivery, maintaining accurate records, and providing compassionate patient care.
Job Details
- Position Description: Administers ionizing irradiation to patients in accordance with prescriptions and instructions from department physicians.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in radiological technology or equivalent, Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (RT.(T)(ARRT)), applicable State Certification of Therapeutic Radiologic Technology (RTT), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor.
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with rotating shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Delivers prescribed daily dose to patient, observes radiation safety measures, prepares treatment room and equipment, and monitors patients for reactions or complications. Maintains treatment records and reviews patient charts for accuracy. Provides clinical supervision and evaluates students practical ability to perform procedures.
