Job Summary
Ultrasonographer Echo in the specialty of Ultrasonographer Echo this position is located at a healthcare facility. The role involves performing a variety of technical procedures with independent judgment to facilitate diagnoses, including proficient use of ultrasound equipment for abdominal, pelvic, obstetrical, and vascular studies. The position requires maintaining patient care standards, infection control, and adherence to departmental policies.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Current ultrasound experience of at least two years, OB experience required, vascular experience preferred, certification as an RVT through the ARDMS or RVS through the CCI preferred, active American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Schedule: Days shift, with shift hours of 8 or 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include proficient operation of ultrasound equipment, sterile technique setup, independently managing imaging procedures, and moving/lifting patients and equipment as needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds intermittently or over 100 pounds with assistance or mechanical aid.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 6 hours per shift, with high stress environment adaptability required.
- Must possess sight/hearing senses adequate for position requirements and be able to speak, read, and understand English.
- Travelers must have their own vehicle, include their permanent address in the profile, and submit all scheduling requests at the time of submission, including any requested time off.
