Job Summary
Milwaukee, Wisconsin Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) specializing in pediatric critical care and neonatal intensive care units (NICU). This position involves providing specialized respiratory care for pediatric patients across ICU and NICU settings, including vent management and invasive and non-invasive ventilation strategies.
Job Details
- Position: RT PEDS Respiratory Therapist Registered
- Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour NOC shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Schedule: 36 hours per week, guaranteed, with every other weekend and occasional third weekend work; holiday rotation may be required
- Required Qualifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Wisconsin license and NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential; Associate Degree or Certificate; 3-5 years of pediatric critical care or NICU experience. Candidate must be able to operate in PICU and level IV NICU settings.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
- Additional Information: Primarily float to PICU and NICU, with potential to cover general medical/surgical units, emergency department, and other areas as needed. Responsibilities include managing ventilator and respiratory therapies, intubations, extubations, and treatments involving invasive and non-invasive ventilation systems such as Servo I and Servo U, Astral, Trilogy, Oscillators, CPAP, BiPAP, RAM cannula, and NAVA. Charting is preferred on Epic Clin Doc.
- Certifications: Current AHA BLS, PALS, NRP; WI license and NBRC RRT required
