Job Summary
Occupational Therapist (Inpatient) This inpatient occupational therapy position is located within an acute care hospital setting. The role involves providing therapy services to adult and geriatric patients, including those undergoing orthopedic surgery, with a focus on early mobility and post-surgical rehabilitation. The position requires a commitment to working a Monday through Friday schedule, with start date scheduled for October 5, 2026, and end date on January 4, 2027.
Job Details
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Tuesday through Saturday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Washington State license, NBCOT (National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy), BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in acute care, and inpatient orthopedic experience, including seeing patients on the day of surgery.
- Preferred Qualifications: ICU experience is helpful, and familiarity with the Epic electronic charting system.
- Additional Information: The position involves seeing adult and geriatric patients, with a focus on mobility, discharge planning, home exercises, and patient/family education. Candidates must be able to assess adaptive equipment and perform evaluations, re-assessments, and safety and injury prevention measures. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby sister facilities. All scheduling requests, including holidays, must be specified during application.
- Travel Experience: Not required.
- Location Requirements: Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible. Candidates must possess a compact license in hand at submission.
