Description

Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) in a rehabilitation hospital setting. This role involves providing specialized occupational therapy services to adult and geriatric inpatient rehabilitation patients. The position supports patients recovering from conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injuries, with the goal of maximizing their independence and improving their quality of life at a state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation facility.

Job Details:

  • Location: Day shift, 8-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • Start Date: 10/13/2026
  • End Date: 01/12/2027
  • Required Qualifications: Texas Occupational Therapist (OT) license, BLS certification, 1+ years of experience (preferably with inpatient rehab experience), college degree in field.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neuro, ortho, general medical, amputation, and polytrauma cases.
  • Patient Population: Adult and geriatric inpatient rehabilitation patients.
  • Hiring Profile: Must have skills and experience related to inpatient neuro, ortho, general medicine, amputation, and trauma cases.
  • Additional Information: The role involves working with a patient ratio that is to be determined, utilizing electronic health records, and reporting to the director of therapy. Scrub color is navy, and reporting time is 7:00 AM upon arrival. The position is for a new or expanded service line within the facility.
