Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Pharmacist Inpatient for a healthcare facility located in Richmond, VA. The Pharmacist will provide critical medication management services within a 463-bed hospital environment, supporting complex patient populations including trauma, burn, critical care, pediatrics, and cardiac surgery. This role involves collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure safe medication practices and adherence to hospital policies.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Virginia State Pharmacist license; hospital experience of at least 2 years; skills in managing complex patients such as trauma, burn, or critical care; proficiency in Dose Edge IV Experience, Pyxis, Meditech Vigilanz; experience with Vancomycin AUC dosing, Aminoglycoside dosing, Renal dosing, warfarin, enoxaparin, electrolyte protocols, heparin, and DOACs.
- Schedule: Evenings 2:30 PM 7:00 AM; 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The Pharmacist will verify and compound IV medications, perform medication verification, and utilize advanced protocols for medication management. The team benefits from high staff tenure and modern technology including Sanford Guide, UpToDate, Vanc AUC calculator, Briggs, and LexiDrug. The role offers an opportunity to work in a Level 1 Trauma Center and Stroke Center with access to new equipment and resources.
