Description
Job Summary:
Radiation Therapist (RTT) position located at a healthcare facility. This role involves performing routine and specialized radiation treatments according to physician-developed treatment plans. The therapist works independently to deliver precise procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort while adhering to all relevant regulations and safety standards.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA-ARC or equivalent), Radiation Therapist (RTT) certification, high school diploma or equivalent; at least 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist; valid California State License as required
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with community hospital settings, and proficiency with community hospital charting systems
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: Performs a variety of radiation therapy and simulation procedures to cancer patients, maintains and operates complex radiation therapy equipment, prepares patients for procedures, and ensures safety standards are followed. Responsible for documentation, equipment calibration, quality control, and patient education to alleviate anxiety. Participates in mentorship and departmental training activities. Completes required modules during orientation, with hours recorded through e-learning.
