Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer General in the healthcare setting. This position involves conducting sonographic procedures on patients using ultrasound diagnostic equipment under the supervision of a physician and department supervisor. The role supports medical diagnosis by capturing diagnostic images and maintaining equipment functionality.
Job Details:
- Certifications: Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in OB/GYN.
- Education & Experience: One (1) year of Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) experience or three (3) years of directly related work experience; or a valid license/certification meeting the required criteria.
- Location Requirements: No specific location requirements.
- Years of Experience: 0 years minimum.
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include operating diagnostic ultrasound equipment, capturing and documenting diagnostic images, ensuring equipment maintenance, assisting patients during procedures, and performing Doppler scans.
- Ensures infection prevention techniques are followed, including probe handling and cleaning procedures.
- Uses ancillary systems such as KinetDx and PACS for image management and comparisons.
- Reviews patient history and previous exams, demonstrates proper Doppler technique, and completes exams within required timeframes.
